Procurement in Israel: Request for information (RFI)
Prepared in writing based on preliminary data sheets to facilitate initial screening of potential suppliers.
RFI should be to-the-point, brief and practical. It should also include a return-by date.
Our experience shows that the majority of potential suppliers are often reluctant to read deep into lengthy, detailed papers and fail to supply any viable information in addition to what’s written in their promotion brochures. Our job is to collect enough tangible data to assess the supplier’s capacity and reliability.
From all the hard data collected from RFI replies, we can shape a workable short list of contenders and move on to the next stage, the actual procurement.
