Container loading check (CLC)
This service ensures that your products are packed the right way for shipment, and that the condition and quantity are as required.
How it’s done: This inspection is conducted at the point of loading (factory or warehouse). The inspector counts the stock and inspects the product’s quality for final approval. This inspection is conducted either in the supplier’s or the shipping company’s warehouse before it is shipped to the client. The quality inspector supervises the loading of the product into the container making sure that all the goods are loaded correctly and according to the order.
Why it’s important: Goods improperly loaded into a container may be damaged upon arrival. You must be certain that the container is being loaded onto the correct vessel and that the required documents are present. This is the last inspection that can be done before the product is delivered to the client. If there is a defect in the product it is much easier to have the supplier either fix it or replace it at the factory at this stage. Once the client receives the product, returning it is not always viable.
