Initial production inspection in Israel
The very first production inspection conducted so th
at the client will be certain that their sample meets all standards and requirements.
Who it’s for: Any client manufacturing a product for the first time, who has not yet checked that the first sample fulfills the standards of the country of importation.
How it’s conducted: Prior to mass production, your supplier will have a single sample produced. This sample will be sent to the client for approval. The client will have the product tested according to the standards and requirements.
Upon approval, the sample will be compared to newer samples assuring that they are the same and comply with the required standards. Requirements may include standards such as electrical compliance, plastics composition, or structural integrity. Once the sample is found to meet all required standards, production can begin.
Why it’s important: The entire production can fail if the product does not meet the required standards. A country’s standards institution or government authority can prohibit or even refuse the sale of your product if it does not meet their requirements. It is standard practice worldwide to protect a population from hazards or faulty equipment.
Mismatches between the approved sample and the order will create delays, for example, if you are a refrigerator importer, you need to check every shipment for consistency. If the supplier changes any components in the motor, the standards institute will hold the shipment, costing you both time and money.
